The most surprising thing about being a first-time mom is the anxiety! I didn’t know what anxiety was until I had kids. The love you have for your kids is stronger than anything I have felt. You just love your kids so much it is easy to question everything!
My expectation vs. experience breastfeeding was I heard it would be hard, but I didn’t know how much I would love it. It was a pleasant experience for me (I mean, this was after I got through the cracked, raw nipples in the first month).
The best piece of advice about motherhood is you know best and to remember “it” is not an emergency. Take a deep breath, you are a great mom!
