The most surprising thing about being a first-time mom is how you are a "new mom" at every age. I'm a first-time "threenager" mom! Surprisingly or not, motherhood is the hardest job a woman can have.
My expectation vs. experience breastfeeding was I expected it to come more naturally and not be painful or too challenging. I was undereducated and lacked postpartum support.
The best piece of advice about motherhood is give yourself some grace, try to be present in the moment, educate yourself, and don't be afraid to ask for help. Avoid comparison and listen to your intuition!
